How We Work

Our system is simple and just makes sense. If you have any questions or concerns about how we do business, let us know. If you don't feel secure and confident in your choice of working with us, we aren't doing our jobs right.

Phase I: Analysis

Whatever services you're interested in, we will determine the best course of action for providing you with the outcome you want, estimating how long it will take and how much it will cost.

Phase II: Summary & Estimate

We'll be in touch with a comprehensive summary of the services you want, an estimate of how long that will take, and an itemized price list of how much each specific service (and every step of that service) will cost. In this way, you can decide if you want to go ahead, add or subtract something. You won't be able to remove some steps for certain services, but we're very flexible, so just let us know and we can probably work something out. If not, we'll explain why.

Phase I and II are always free. We will never charge you for an analysis or estimate.

Phase III: Contract

Once we've agreed on the course of action in Phase II, we'll draw up a contract, sign it and email it to you. You'll need to print it out, sign it, scan it and email the signed copy back to us. You'll keep your signed copy for your records. We cannot begin work, no matter how minor, before receiving the contract. We can wait, so don't worry.

Phase IV: Development

Depending on the nature of the services we'll be providing you with, we may not need to focus much on phase four. However, for most clients, the work will go through a series of steps before completion. We will contact you during each critical step for your review and approval of the work. We do this to ensure that you'll be as happy as possible with the final result. Your involvement in this phase is critical. We're professionals, but we aren't mind readers. To make sure you get exactly what you want, we need your feedback. If you don't like something or you want to make a change, let us know immediately. The longer you wait, the more it will cost to change.

Though unusual, it may happen that you aren't satisfied with the work we're doing. That's okay - not every relationship is meant to be. We will work up a cancellation agreement that you will need to sign. You will only be charged for completed work. That means if we had drawn up a contract for a forty page website and we only got as far as a few wireframes, you won't be charged for the forty page website - just the wireframes.

Phase V: Completion and Payment

Upon completion of the agreed upon work, we will send you a bill electronically (want a paper bill? We can do that, too - just ask). Payment for our services is due upon receipt of the bill. If we don't hear from you within three business days, we'll follow up with an email to confirm you received the bill. Depending on the nature of the service, we may bill half-way through development for the work completed so far, and again at the end, for the work done past that point. We will always make it clear upfront how you will be billed. For large projects, we frequently request a deposit to demonstrate your commitment to working with us. The deposit will be deducted from your bill.
